Our company has made a fully-detailed conversion project of dry cargo vessel into a pusher. Middle part of the vessel was cutted out, fore and aft part were welded. One of the point of technical task was fore pushing box installation.
The difficulty of installing the lower part of the pushing box was that the anchor niche prevented alignment with the pushing box above the main deck. It was necessary to correctly connect new structures with existing. We successfully solved this task and vessel in exploitation showed good results.
