On 19 January, the Ukrainian Register of Shipping held a scientific and practical conference in Odesa on "Small vessels, technical requirements, design, construction".
The purpose of the conference was to discuss issues arising in the process of design, construction and operation of small vessels and technical requirements applied to these vessels in Ukraine and other countries.
Technical requirements for small vessels (national, European, international) were discussed with manufacturers and designers of small vessels, problematic issues arising in the process of design and examination of documentation for approval by the Register, as well as tools (software) used in design were considered. Issues arising in the process of construction, supervision of construction, certification of products and materials, software used in these processes were also considered.
