Our company has developed a solution for the use of a lightweight awning cover on cargo ships operating on inland waterways.

The proposed tent hatch cover is a system of aluminium trapezoidal tubular beams installed in steel shells welded to the longitudinal coaming flange, onto which the awning is hoisted by crane. The awning is secured to the coaming by means of slings.

At the bow and stern of the hold, there is an area for the storage of pipes during cargo operations.

According to the results of the project, the tent cover has been successfully used on non-self-propelled barges and dry cargo vessels in the European inland waterways.
